Michael moved to Chicago in 2016, where he began his professional dance career. He is also a fitness instructor at Studio Lagree Chicago, where he has been teaching since 2018. Michael first found Rolfing® Structural Integration (SI) in 2017 by pure luck, but got off the table of his first session feeling like he had brand new hips. Michael attributes both his resolved pains and improved bodily function to the work he has received through Rolfing SI, and is excited to share this experience with others as a Certified Rolfer™.

During his training at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® in Boulder, CO, Michael was also drawn to the psychobiological effects of Rolfing: how the body’s structure and a person’s psychological state are reflections of each other, and how working with both in mind can help create a stronger mind/body balance and connection, improving how we see and interact with ourselves and the world around us.

I provide my clients gentle and peaceful spaces for processing and reflecting to help them develop clarity and to release harmful patterns so that they can live with secure, healthy, and loving relationships with themselves and others.

My psychology studies focused on family systems, the intersection of spirituality, psychology, and mind-body practices, and how the many external systems we operate in influence us, also called the Bio-Psycho-Social model. These impact our thinking, beliefs, trust, and dependence or independence. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Dan Siegel’s Attachment Therapy and Mindsight work, and some approaches for trauma including EMDR and Somatic practices.

My background as a psychotherapist, yoga and meditation teacher and practitioner, mother and woman in the world today influence my work as well.

I have been studying yoga and meditation since 1996 and have worked as a mental health counselor since 2011. As a psychotherapist I bring my understanding of the human condition, our hardships and strengths, and combine these with my understanding of the spiritual world where we often find solace and peace.
